Development of an AI system that uses speech-to-text models to transcribe speech files into text, taking into account the company's own workflow.
The client is a long-standing partner of ours. It is an international group of companies from the food manufacturing sector with over 3,000 employees and locations in 24 countries worldwide.
The field service used to store voice memos on a server for further processing by the back office. The office staff had to listen to the voice memos and then process them in text form. This cost a lot of time.
In addition, software licenses from providers such as Olymp are very expensive, according to our customer.
We are developing a service that collects the voice/audio files from the file server one after the other and uploads them to the system for transcription. The text is then packed into a Word doc and automatically filed in thematically appropriate folders. In addition, a web interface has been developed that allows employees to manually upload language files for transcription. In this web interface, the user can select the size of the AI model. The larger the model, the better the transcription quality.
The AI system and the language model run on a dedicated server rented from a German hosting provider. In order to be able to flexibly adapt, expand and scale the system in the future, we only use proven open source components and frameworks. The model is also open source and is operated "locally" on a dedicated server.
The customer has saved time and money. The office staff now use this time in a more value-adding way.
