Description
For 20 years, SGK has been supporting the client Lindt & Sprüngli in the area of packaging design and adaptation. It is a special honor and pleasure for us to illustrate the designs around the Lindt Gold Bunny and Lindt Santa Claus, including the entire animal world. In this particular project, we were asked to further develop the classic Lindt Santa Claus, a traditional chocolate specialty that puts young and old in the Christmas spirit every year. The aim was to harmonize the iconic figure with current decoration and consumer trends and to expand it with a particularly festive product range.
Challenge
The challenge was to further develop the classic and world-famous Lindt Santa Claus, who is already deeply rooted in the Christmas tradition. The aim was to come up with new decoration options that both correspond to current consumer trends and reinforce the festive atmosphere. At the same time, the expansion of the product range needed to preserve Lindt's strong brand identity.
Solution
In close collaboration with Lindt & Sprüngli, SGK designed three more glamorous and glittering variants alongside Santa's iconic red coat. These new glamorous Santas have been developed to further emphasize the festive spirit and bring a special touch to the Christmas season. In addition, a decorative and practical 5-piece bar has been designed to find its way into the living room and onto the gift table during the Christmas season. This extension added a new dimension to Lindt Santa Claus that fits in perfectly with current consumer trends.
Results
The new Glamour Santas and the bar of 5 have given the Lindt Santa range a visual upgrade on shelf that is catching consumers' attention. By introducing new decorations that are both festive and modern, the iconic figure has been successfully adapted to current consumer trends. The new product range, including glamorous variants and the 5-piece bar, has enriched the range and offers consumers even more choice.
